Cool Down by the Pool Hot
Refresh residents with a chilled treat that goes a step beyond the typical "popsicles at the pool." Help residents beat the summer heat by delivering limeades, sno cones, frozen lemonades and other delights that are anything but ordinary.
frozen or chilled treats, means for carrying items (cooler or other portable thermal container)
Cool down a hot day by refreshing residents with a chilled treat. Rent or borrow a sno cone machine, pick up half price fruity drinks at a fast food restaurant during happy hour (Sonic, Dairy Queen, etc.), or make your own frozen treats. Then, distribute them in a way that reaches the most residents: the pool, mail center or front gate. This is definitely a way to spice up your typical popsicles at the pool. Residents will gladly welcome cherry limeades, fruit smoothies, flavored sno cones, frozen lemonade, and other favorites that they can’t easily get from their own freezer! For a nostalgic presentation, set up a “lemonade stand” or use your community golf cart to become the “ice cream man.”
Set up a lemonade stand near the front gate or in the office to advertise or host the event. Also, ask your manager to use the community golf cart. Hang poster signs on the cart and/or attach helium balloons and ride around the community passing out treats. Bring a boom box and play music for extra fun.
