Coffee Tasting Resident Event Hot

When you have a resident event, make sure there is always some activity that goes along with the occasion.  For example, instead of just having a “coffee at the clubhouse,” where you rely upon people to start conversations themselves, ramp it up by hiring a barista to come in, brew different types of coffees, and then explain what everybody should be tasting!  Barista’s don’t make a ton of money, so having them come over for a couple of hours for $30-50 should be no problem.  But make sure you find a barista that will not only serve the coffee, but really take the time to explain the differences.  So it may make sense to spend $50 to get a more experienced barista to run the show.

By having an external server, you can then sit at one of the tables, helping to introduce your “guests” and enjoy it along with them!  The coffee should be a nominal expense, and couple it with some light snacks and you have an affordable resident event!

Tip #1: Create a worksheet with a list of all the coffees that they will be trying that day.  Add areas for them to take notes and then rank their favorites.

Tip #2: Remember to take pictures!  ALWAYS take pictures (or video)!
