Hosting a cookie swap in your community is a fantastic way to bring your residents together to get to know one another and enjoy the holiday season. It’s easy to do: simply invite your residents to bring their best, favorite sweet treat – enough to share, of course! You can either request that they also bring an empty plate or container to hold treats, or you can provide a treat bag for each participant to use to collect their sweets. Black Friday Launch Party
Over the years Black Friday has become a tradition among many Americans. Host a Launch Party at your community very early in the morning with (strong) coffee, hot chocolate, donuts and fruit. In most cities the newspaper published the day before Thanksgiving is the largest of the year because of the Black Friday ads. Order enough copies for your residents and deliver them on Wednesday with print collateral promoting your Launch Party.

Giving the Gift of Resident Engagement
The holidays are here, and it’s time to enjoy the season and spend some time engaging with your residents. This time of year is perfect for planning a festive party or offering a little token of your appreciation to your residents. Consider providing bags or cookie tins so that each participant can take a few of their neighbors’ treats home to enjoy during the holidays. Craft Night. Provide a ‘how-to’ event for creating festive holiday decor like wreaths or making handmade gifts like Cookies in a Jar. It’s not necessary...

Cinco de Mayo Brunch
We were looking for a fun and easy Cinco de Mayo party idea this year and decided to go simple with a brunch. We contacted a local Mexican restaurant and had them cater. We mad a big batch of sangria and invited our residents to the party. We kept the decorations simple. Red/White/Green plates, napkins and tablecloths, a few pinatas from Party City and a sombrero or two for fun pictures of our residents. It was fun (and delicious).
